Hi Amanda! Congratulations on the Flying Pig! I have many friends that do that one, and it is on my list of races that I would like to run.
Disney races are actually very spectator friendly. Your fans can see you at several spots and they have great spectator information available on the race websites. There is even an online spectator tool for them to plan out their routes. You can find all of this information on the
Walt Disney World Marathon website. Just click on "spectator resources" on the left.
My family likes to buy
chEAR squad packages. There are different levels available. Their favorite is the platinum level which gives them reserved seating in front of the castle and at the finish line. It also allows them to use the "Race Retreat" tent for food, drinks, tables, chairs, sofas, bathrooms, computers, Disney characters, TV's and more! It's a great place for them to hang out while waiting on me.
One of the most popular viewing areas is inside the Magic Kingdom. All spectators are permitted entrance (no ticket required). They line up along Main Street USA and watch you as you run toward the castle! Then they can hop on the monorail, back to Epcot to be at the finish line.
I hope this helps you help your supporters! I know how important it is to have your loved ones cheering you on! Let me know if you have any other questions.
