Hi there, Saundra Michele!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled you stopped by to discuss
runDisney — a
practically perfect combination of my two very favorite things: running and Disney magic. I mean, when else can you use a walking interval to grab a hug from Pluto or hop aboard a roller coaster in the middle of a marathon? It's no exaggeration to say that every mile is magic!
You've reached out at the right time, Saundra Michele, because
runDisney just confirmed its calendar of events through early 2026, and while race weekends will be held at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, it appears that, unfortunately,
runDisney will not be making its return to
Disneyland Paris during the
2025-2026 Race Season. I know that many Guests (myself included) dream of the day that we can once again cross a magical finish line in France, so for now I choose to take Fairy Godmother's words to heart and
remember that even miracles take a little time.
Happily, there are plenty of races for us to train for this year while we wait, Saundra Michele! While all events during Walt Disney World's Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (February 21-24) are currently sold out, the
runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler on April 6 is currently available for registration, and if you're interested in participating in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend scheduled for October 23-26, registration will open on February 11. Of course, there are also plenty of magical miles to be run in The Happiest Place on Earth, so if you're looking for a real scream on September 7, you'll want to snag one of the remaining bibs for the
Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon.
Did you know that even if you can't make it to Walt Disney World or Disneyland you can still earn some of the coveted
runDisney bling by participating in a virtual race? The
Virtual Love on the Run 14-Mile Challenge can be completed at your convenience during the month of February, and there will also be virtual races this summer and during the holiday season. Be sure to keep an eye on the
runDisney Blog and
social media for more information!
I hope this was helpful, and that you're lacing up your running shoes
real soon,
Saundra Michele! Feel free to
stop back by as you prepare for your next Disney vacation or
runDisney event. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
