I will running the Dopey Races in Jan. Does the transportation to the races include this resort The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - A Disney Vacation Club Resort

On your mark. Get set. Let's goooooo!

Cynthia, I am so excited you raced by planDisney with this question. I'm also running the Dopey Challenge in January. I just texted my friend Melissa that I am in the "Why did I think this was a good idea?" phase of my training. But I was feeling the same way this time last year, getting ready for the Goofy Challenge, and here I am again. And she, a veteran of the Dopey Challenge, reminded me that training is stressful. runDisney races are the reward.

You'll be pleased to know that transportation is available from each of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, including The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. There will be buses available to take you to the Health & Fitness Expo on Wednesday, where you can pick up your bibs and race shirts, shop for runDisney merchandise, and browse other items from the vendors that catch your attention. Buses will also run in the morning to take you to the start of the races and bring you home to Fort Wilderness after all the magical miles.

A few weeks before the event, runDisney will send an email with a link to the online expo, which will include lots of information for the weekend, like transportation for athletes and spectators. With the runDisney Wine & Dine Weekend on the horizon, you can currently check out all the details for this event. Many things, like transportation, remain pretty consistent across weekends, so you can get an idea of what things may be like in January.

Once you are at your resort, make sure you look for or ask about the transportation stop for the weekend's events. It may or may not be where you catch buses to go to theme parks. But there will be signs marking the pickup location, and Cast Members are always helpful.

Cynthia, I hope your training is going well! Taking on the Dopey Challenge is not for the faint of heart. I admire your courage and your commitment. And in those moments when the training feels like a lot, remember you are headed to the Most Magical Place to Race. When we cross that marathon finish line, I know the tears will flow. Well-deserved tears of pride!

If you have any other questions as you lace up your sneakers and prepare for this weekend, know you have cheerleaders at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits!
