I am running the disneyland half marathon in 2 weeks. Are spectators able to go into the parks to view runners? The guide does not list this as an option.

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Jessica. We're so glad you found us to ask this question. Hooray! The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is practically here. It won't be long until you will be running across that finish line with your friends and family cheering you on.

There's nothing quite like the boost of energy that you get from your friends and family rooting for you on the course. Unfortunately, only registered race participants will be allowed to enter the parks as part of the race course, however, friends and family can cheer you on in the Esplanade, between the entrances of Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. There are also several other spots where spectators can view and cheer you on, like along Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue. If you haven't already, check out the Half Marathon Course Map to get a better idea of where you might need that extra cheering magic. Your friends and family can also follow your split times for the Half Marathon.

It's going to be an exciting weekend at the Disneyland Resort. I can't wait to see all of the merchandise and goodies that will be available at the Expo. If you are planning to attend and shop at the Expo on Thursday, January 11th, joining the Virtual Queue will be required.

I hope this helps as you get ready for race weekend, Jessica. I'm wishing you a fantastic and magical race. May you run as fast as Dash!
