I am running in the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Feb. 2024 and wondering what the best resort hotels are to get to the race easily and on the more affordable side? Also, do we get free passes to the park or discounts on the park and hotels?

    Hi Karen! Welcome to planDisney.

Break out the tiaras and tutus! Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend brings out "girl power" and pixie dust for a fun-filled weekend for pavement pounder lovers. This is historically a very popular weekend so let's get to your questions to secure your plans.

Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel on runDisney race weekends is a must for me. Complimentary transportation will bring you to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo where you will pick up your official bib ahead of your event. You can shop for unique vendors and official runDisney merchandise. On race morning, your bus transportation will bring you to the pre-race events where you can take advantage of character meet-ups and a DJ dance party. To stay on the budget side, any of the Disney Value Resorts will serve you well. I must say, personally, Disney's Pop Century Resort is my favorite with access to the Disney Skyliner. I do recommend you secure a resort stay soon due to the popularity of Princess Weekend.

While you do not get Theme Park Tickets or discounts on hotel stays as a participant in a runDisney event, I do see you are a resident of Florida. Keep an eye on the Florida Residents Special Offers page online for any discounts on tickets and resort stays.
