Running Dark Side Challenge. With photos linked to bib numbers, does that mean we don’t need to wear MagicBands for Memory Maker? Would you recommend wearing anyway? Planning to return to resort before heading to parks for the day.

    Hi Kacey!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your race weekend is coming up soon! I'm sure you're getting very excited about completing the challenge. You will love having the Memory Maker to download all of your race and park photo memories.

You are correct that runDisney race photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers will be sorted by your bib number. There will be a race specific number ID that you will enter for each race you participate in. The last five digits will be your bib number and they will be sorted into your My Disney Experience account. These numbers are provided in the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend's Official Event Guide

You do not need your MagicBand for any photos during the race. I generally wear mine simply to use when I get back to the resort to enter my room, because I don't like to check a bag before the race.  If you think it will bug you during the run, then you can definitely go without it!

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!!
