So I am a runner I am 61 years old missed 2024 and 2025 registration for half marathon how can I get reminders for 2026 so I can conquer my bucket list and do one Disney half Marathon 🙏🏽

On your mark, get set, run! Hey there and welcome to planDisney, Margarita. Thanks for sprinting by to share your question with us. There's nothing like running some magical miles in the parks and I'm here to help you find your next opportunity to participate in a runDisney event.

Running always gives me a feeling of accomplishment and there's something extra special about the running events at the Disneyland Resort. There are a couple of different things you can do to make sure you're in the know about upcoming events. My tried and trusted way is by following @rundisney on Instagram. This is where I usually find news about the events that are taking place at the Disneyland Resort and when registration will open. The news is always shared in advance with plenty of time to prepare. I also like to visit the runDisney website frequently and check the "Events" tab for "Disneyland Resort, California." There's also the runDisney Blog which is a great resource for news and announcements. You can filter for "Disneyland Resort" to see when announcements were made and when registrations opened for previous events to give you an idea of when you might expect these in the future.

Since runDisney events have returned to the Disneyland Resort at the beginning of this year, there have been 2 events per year - the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend and the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend. I just checked the website and noticed that registration is still open and available for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon on September 7, 2025. If you're looking to join a race that is currently sold out, there could still be a chance for you. Registrations will occasionally be released and reopen, but you have to be pretty quick about signing up when that happens. I've been lucky enough to have been on the site to quickly grab a 5K registration when it opened for a split second.

Margarita, I hope these tips are helpful as you're preparing to sign up for your first runDisney race! I'll be wishing on a star and sending all the pixie dust your way in the hopes that you'll be crossing that magical finish line soon. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with. Wishing you all the best for the happiest run at the Happiest Place on Earth!
