I've never runDisney before, but am training for the Princess...my first half! How difficult is it to adapt to the crazy early mornings for Disney races? Do you recommend training runs that early to prep your body?

    Hi Kacey!

I know that you will love the Princess Half Marathon!  It is such a fun race!

The Disney races do begin really early.  However, I have never had any trouble adapting to it, simply because of all the energy and adrenaline!  There is so much fun, Disney excitement, that you won't have any trouble getting pumped up!

I do recommend going on at least one early morning training run.  I recommend it mainly to figure out what you want to eat and how early.  I like to eat a bagel with peanut butter, plus a banana about an hour before I start my run.  It's a good idea to do a practice morning of nutrition to make sure your belly isn't going to react in a negative way.  I also think you should wear your race day outfit during a training run to make sure there isn't anything small that may bug you after a few miles.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
