Hi Melissa!
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so excited that your next Walt Disney World Resort adventure includes a runDisney race weekend! I ran the
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend a few years ago and had the best time completing the
Disney Fairytale Challenge with my friend.
Melissa, typically, participants in the
Disney Princess 5K and
Disney Princess 10K do not run through Magic Kingdom Park, but instead enjoy a course around and through EPCOT. However, course maps are updated annually and have not yet been released for the 2025 race. As you get closer to your race weekend, you can expect updates from
runDisney via email with the latest announcements, including course details and information about the
runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. I also suggest following
runDisney on Instagram or your preferred social platform so you don't miss any magical news!
Whether you're running through EPCOT, Magic Kingdom Park, or wherever the road takes you, one of my favorite parts of runDisney races is the amazing character interactions. You can usually find some rare characters along with familiar faces along the course, so be ready to strike a pose! In addition to photos with the characters, keep an eye out along the course for
Disney PhotoPass photographers waiting to capture you in action during the race. Any photos from Disney PhotoPass photographers will be available to view in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you've purchased
Memory Maker for your vacation, your race photos will be included as well!
Melissa, runDisney likes to remind us that "every mile is magic," and I hope you find that to be the case both during your training and when race weekend arrives! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
