Will the runDisney events affect park opening/closing times?

Hi there Haley, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dashing by with your question, and I'd be happy to run some thoughts by you regarding visiting the theme parks during a runDisney race weekend.

Walt Disney World has been full of exciting announcements lately, and it's wonderful to see so many of our favorite things coming back online. I've participated in runDisney events and vacationed during race weeks in the past, and while you aren't likely to see theme park hours impacted by Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, you might experience road closures and transportation delays in the mornings as runners complete the final steps of their races.

In my opinion, it's more important than ever during a race weekend to stay at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, as you'll have an easier time getting around using Disney Transportation. Fortunately, we just got word that Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter will be welcoming Guests back again early this fall, so you'll have even more opportunities to stay in the magic.

I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your fall getaway, Haley. Walt Disney World theme park hours change frequently, so whether or not any special events are happening that coincide with a trip, I always make sure to check the Park Hours Calendar right before I leave, and I review them once more on the Walt Disney World Today channel on my resort room television. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and we can't wait to welcome you back real soon!
