Hi. I am going to run the 2013 Wine & Dine half marathon. Can you recommend the best hotel to stay at? Last year for the 2012 Princess half I made the mistake of staying at a resort that did not provide race day transportation!

    Hi Kinnereth!

Great question!  The host hotels for this year's Wine and Dine have not been finalized and released yet.  You can look at the Disney World travel package page to see what the host resorts were last year.  It will probably be very similar.

I think the very best resorts to stay in during Wine and Dine weekend are the Epcot area resorts.  (last year the Beach Club and Boardwalk Inn Resorts were hosts)  These are perfect for after the race because you can exit the back entrance of Epcot (International Gateway) and walk right back to your room.

Those are Deluxe Resort, so they are more expensive.  If your budget doesn't allow for that, than any of the other host resorts are perfect.  You can just hop on a bus after the post-race party and ride back to your room.  Keep in touch with me and on the runDisney website for updates about host resorts.  They should become available once registration opens for the Wine and Dine.

Let me know if you have any other questions!  See you at the Wine and Dine.  It's my all-time favorite runDisney race!
