Hi, my DH & I will run the half marathon in Jan, my brother & SIL are running the full on Sun! We'll stay on the property, but aren't sure about dining, race retreat...How do we make it magical for all 4 with different races? We'd like cheer for ea

    Welcome, Angela!

Thank you so much for your question. I know planning race-cation logistics can be difficult and I am here to help you.

    Dining
Pasta in the Park Party - This pasta buffet is unlike any you've ever seen! With character meet and greets, a DJ, face painting, a reserved viewing location for Illuminations: Refections of Earth and an all-you-care-to-eat meal designed with runners in mind, this is a great way to fuel up and have fun! Based on your race schedules, I suggest the Friday night party.

    • Race Retreat - This is a great added enhancement to your race, but you would not be able to enjoy this the four of you. You would have access to the race retreat tent before and after your individual race. I think you would have more fun enjoying breakfast together after the half marathon at a great place like Kona Cafe. For your brother and Sister-in-law's race day I would plan on a celebratory dinner.

    * I would love to know where you are staying and your travel dates, Angela, or if you plan on visiting any theme parks prior to your races. This information will help me suggest a more detailed itinerary for you.

    ChEARing each other on
    • I think the best spot to ChEAR each other on is in the Magic Kingdom on Main Street USA! The atmosphere is magical for runners and spectators! Not to mention access to restrooms for those that are spectating. To do this each morning, take provided race transportation to Epcot and then take the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, take the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom and then claim your spot along Main Street USA - no ticket required.

I hope this helps get you started with ideas. I also hope to hear from you again as you continue planning!

    Happy Training,

    Faith
