Welcome to planDisney, Rachael!
I am glad to see you are thinking about signing up for the 2025 Disney Princess Half Marathon with
runDisney! I have experienced two runDisney events in the last couple of years and can’t wait to do another one. The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon is on my runDisney bucket list so I can enjoy the Post-Race Party!
The course maps for runDisney races aren’t released until a few weeks before the actual run, so it is too soon to say exactly which park(s) you will be running through. However, I did some research and found the course maps for the last couple of years, and they all seem to start and finish in the
EPCOT parking lot and take you through parts of the
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT throughout the 13.1 miles (or 21K). Don’t hold me to this, but it’s a pretty safe assumption, pending any major updates to the parks that would prevent them from being used. As you get closer to the race weekend, more information will be provided in the Digital Expo & Event Guide sent to the email address you used for registration. This is where you will see the course map and find out other information, such as bib pick-up.
Be sure to follow
Disney Parks Blog for the most up to date Disney related news and content. They recently published an article,
5 Things to Know Before Your First runDisney Event. My planDisney friends
Melissa H. and
Betsy S. also just finished recording a
planDisney podcast focusing on runDisney events that you should listen to!
I would also recommend staying in one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels for race weekend. The
complimentary transportation offered to and from the race is super convenient for the early morning race times! If you have any additional questions about runDisney events or the Disney World vacation you plan to enjoy pre- or post-race, come back to visit us at planDisney! I would love to share my favorite pre-race carb-loading dining locations to help you prepare for your run!
See you real soon!
