What are the rules for visitors with a broken ankle with a removable boot

Hi Mary, and thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.

There are no hard rules for Guests with a removable boot; you just want to make sure that the person doesn't over-exert themselves and cause further damage. Here are some ideas you may take into consideration, depending on the mobility of the Guest:

    • Rent a wheelchair or ECV: For a small fee, Guests can rent a wheelchair or ECV from Disneyland Resort, with the manual wheelchair being less expensive to rent than the ECV.
    • Visit the First Aid Station: If breaks are needed to elevate the ankle or apply an ice pack, beds and ice are available at the First Aid Station at no additional cost.
    • Plan in advance: Having a general idea of the day can be helpful. For example, you can review the Mobility Disabilities page for information on mobility requirements for attractions.
Speaking of planning, I encourage you to download the Disneyland Mobile App before your trip. You can find information on all my suggestions through the app, such as where to find the First Aid Centers and the Wheelchair Rental stations, as well as mobility requirements for attractions.

Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Best wishes,
