What are the rules on small backpacks or purses in the parks?

    Hi Emily!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As you can imagine, there are a lot of Guests that bring in purses and backpacks filled with snacks, diapers and other necessities for their family members. You can find a complete list of Walt Disney World Resort park rules here at this link. Basically, just be aware that ALL bags of all sizes will be searched before you are allowed to enter a theme park.

Specifically on the restricted items list are:
Suitcases, coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. Coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations.

Other than that, you are free to bring what you need. Just keep in mind that you will be carrying it all day long. I try to take in as little as possible, but that is much easier now that my boys are teenagers.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
