What are the rules regarding rider switch service and fast pass? Do all of my family members, including the non-rider need a fast pass for the attraction?

Hi Christina, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

We also like to know everything about the Walt Disney World Resort before planning our trips, so you have come to the right people!

The Rider Switch service was designed so that families with non-riders can wait on the regular line once and not twice. Combining it with the FastPass+ service may not be the best choice as it already grants your group a time window to enjoy the attraction. If you intend to ride an attraction using both the FastPass+ and the Rider Switch services, I'd advise you to make a reservation for all Guests who will be riding as Cast Members may verify all of your FastPass+ reservations prior to issuing your Rider Switch entitlement.

Because of that, I'd advise you to use the Rider Switch service for the attractions for which you cannot grant FastPass+ reservations to. As I'm sure it will help you plan some great itineraries, the full list of attractions that offer this service can be found here.

Since you may be travelling with infants, this great post by the Disney Parks Blog has many insights for enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with the little ones. If you need to take special care of a child at a Theme Park, you may also use the Baby Care Centers, that are equipped with nursing rooms, changing tables and small shops packed with daily essentials.

Please let us know it we can help you any further, Christina. We will be here waiting for your next questions!

May the magic be with you,
