Hi Amber!
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I too have four children and as my husband puts it we "play zone defense" whenever we venture out with the family.
In my opinion Walt Disney World is the best place to vacation with a large family. The rides and attractions are designed with families in mind and the Cast Members do an outstanding job of keeping your family safe while sprinkling Pixie Dust. Since the children outnumber the adults in my family, quite often one adult takes 2 or 3 children onto an attraction. Many of the rides seat 3 or 4 people across, however for those that only seat 1 or 2 across we have the children sit directly in front of the parent. Prior to boarding an attraction the Cast Members usually ask how many are in your party and will seat you all together accordingly. If you have questions about the seating of a particular attraction, be sure to ask the Cast Member in your queue how to best seat your family.
Amber do you know about the
Rider Switch Service offered at Walt Disney World? Click on the previous link to read all about this magical extra. This service is fantastic for the attractions in which not all of the children can ride. The Rider Switch Service allows the adult who waited with the vertically challenged offspring (kiddos too short to ride) to enter the ride without having to go back through the regular queue. And to top that off, the waiting adult can take one other person along with them.
Have a
MAGICAL vacation! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Blessings,
