Welcome Home, Amy! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see that you're at
Walt Disney World Resort right now, so let me jump right in!
I hope that your vacation at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is off to a great start. Being able to enjoy the bustle of the theme parks and then relax in nature sounds like a pretty great way to spend your time! As a rule-follower myself, I absolutely appreciate you asking about this resort's rules for decorating your cabin, and I'm happy to help.
There is a comprehensive list on the
"Overview" section of the website for the Cabins, but let me cover some of the highlights!
- Nothing attached, wrapped, or placed on plants, trees, trash cans, fencing, or structures.
- No decorations on cabin stairs (these must remain clear at all times for your safety!).
- Decorations may not extend more than 10 feet from the cabin's site pad, and cannot be more than 6 feet high.
- The site post cannot be obstructed, nor any sidewalks, trash cans, or Comfort Stations.
- No intrusive bright lights, music, or sound effects; all decorations/effects need to comply with posted quiet hours.
I hope this information is helpful and that your decorations are bringing a little extra magic to your trip! While you're enjoying Fort Wilderness Resort this week, be sure to spend a day or two exploring the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which just opened last week. It's truly a feast for the senses, from the beautiful gardens and character topiaries to the tasty treats unique to the Festival. We like to spend our afternoon sampling some of the food offerings and wind down with the nightly
Garden Rocks Concert Series, which features some amazing bands!
Wishing you a wonderful, relaxing vacation, Amy! Thanks again for visiting planDisney--we're here to help anytime with future questions.
See Ya Real Soon!
