What is the rule of thumb for tipping Cast Members IN the parks? Obviously we will tip in restaurants but what about if a Cast Member, for instance, points out the best way to get to a particular attraction..Do you tip? What is or is not acceptable? Thanks

    Hi Laura!

Tipping Cast Members in the parks is not accepted, except when dining at a Table Service dining location (as you've mentioned).  Other Cast Members will politely decline your tip, as making magic is just one part of their job. You can always offer a big smile, and a hearty "Thank you," as those gestures are always appreciated.

If, in a particular instance, a Cast Member goes above and beyond to assist you, you can always make a note of their name and their hometown (from their name tag).  Once home, send a Thank You note, card, or email.  Cast Members treasure those notes!  Here's the contact information for mail and email:

One note for you:  we've traveled during the holiday season on multiple occasions, and I've brought small chocolates or candies with us to spread our own 'pixie dust' at times.  These small tokens were well received and appreciated, but absolutely not necessary or expected.

    Have a magical vacation!
