    We have rsv. at the Dolphin resort June 23-27 2010 for the BotCon Transformers Convention. Apparently, you can't get the DDP staying here. Does Disney usually offer anything special for attendees of a convention at DW? Need to plan! Any advice?

    Hi, Sara, My husband recently stayed at The Dolphin for a convention and he just loved it!  

    You are correct, you cannot participate in the Disney Dining Plan when staying at The Swan or The Dolphin (although on Disney property, these resorts are independently owned.)   While I do not know of anything special done for those on a convention, I suggest you contact your convention organizer or producer to see if they have any special offers or events set-up.   By knowing ahead of time what they do (or don't!) have planned will help you as you plan your vacation. 

    The Dolphin is a lovely resort and in a great location.  I hope you have a great time at your convention!
