The Royal Family 5K will be our 1st Disney race. Is traffic as bad for 5K as for the others? She lives near WDW so we weren't going to stay at a resort - will we be okay? Still need to be there by 3:30am? Thx!

    Hi Tracy!

No worries!  The traffic for the 5K won't be nearly as bad as for the other races.  This is due to the fact that there are a lot less runners in that race, and significantly less road closures to deal with.

The Royal Family 5K begins at 6:15 a.m.  I would plan to be there no later than 5 a.m. to avoid getting caught in any type of traffic jam.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions and have a GREAT race!
