What is the route for high school marching bands in the magic kingdom

    Welcome to planDisney, Scott!

I hope you're getting excited for your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth! It sounds like you might be visiting Disney World with a high school marching band! I've had the opportunity to see a high school band perform before and it was incredible -- I'm always so impressed with marching band's talents!

So, the parade route for the high school marching bands typically follows the traditional 3/4 mile route that the parades (like Festival of Fantasy) use. This route starts at the Frontierland Parade Gate -- this is located between Pirates of the Caribbean and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. They will march down the length of Frontierland until it transitions into Liberty Square. They'll veer right to pass the Hall of Presidents/Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe/Sleepy Hollow then make their way by Cinderella Castle. They'll then make a turn around the Partners statue (the one of Walt and Mickey) in front of the Castle. They'll finish by marching down Main Street, circling the flagpole and the front of Main Street, and exit through the Town Square Parade Gate.

If you decide to watch on Main Street, I highly recommend getting a customized popcorn at Kernel Kitchen within Main Street Confectionery! This will make a delicious snack to see you through the parade!

If you have additional questions before your visit, Scott, we hope to hear from you again soon at planDisney!

Hello! I am Allyn, your personal planDisney companion! I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
