Roughly how long is dinner at be our guest? We’re planning to go in July.-

Hi there and Bonjour Craig, I'd like to extend a very royal welcome to you from one Canadian to another here at planDisney!

There's really something extra magical about dining at the Be Our Guest Restaurant and just seeing the ballroom that you know from the animated classic in three dimensions when you set foot in the Beast's castle. Folks jump at the opportunity to find a reservation here due to the beautiful interiors throughout its various dining areas (I love the West Wing for its darker ambience and smashed furnishings) and there's also an ironic bit of whimsy to the idea of coming down from Canada and the possibility of being seated next to the windows looking out at softly falling snow.

My husband and I had the chance to dine here again twice recently to not only "Put their Service to the Test" and experience its enhanced prix fixe format, but also to try some of the more recent additions to the options currently found on the menu. You might be happy to hear that our experience both times lasted just over an hour, which afforded us the opportunity to glimpse the Master as he came by and bowed to our table in all of his regal, hairy excellence. (While your experience may vary from ours, we found the service to be very prompt if not slightly rushed in our opinion; despite the lush castle surroundings this is not necessarily a fine dining experience and it may be surprisingly loud depending on where you're seated.)

Be sure to ask the Cast Members whether you can have a look down one of the hallways flanked by enchanted suits of armour; they just might have a chat with one another when they think no one's looking! At busier times you may be seated at a table in the Rose Gallery which is still pretty and may have a rotating music-box figure of Belle's first dance with the Beast, but don't be afraid to request the Ballroom or the West Wing if you're after a bit of a more iconic location to eat in.

Come back to planDisney again anytime for another dose of Disney destination knowledge, I'm happy to help fellow Canucks get what they need ahead of their upcoming Disney adventures in the Great Wide Somewhere!

Bon Appétit and don't forget to try the Grey Stuff (which really is delicious)!
