Hi there, Carole!
Welcome aboard! While I strive to say "beach hair, don't care" when I'm cruising I know that sometimes we want the chance to use our normal tools and be put together for an evening. Let's talk about what you can pack for your cruise!
Hairdryers are allowed on Disney Cruise Line if they pass inspection with the Chief Electrician and are 230V and 450 watts or less. I would not pack your styling brush if it doesn't meet those specifications. If your appliance does meet those standards then you can bring it, but please know that ultimately it's up to the Chief Electrician if it can be brought onto the ship. I definitely recommend having a backup option (like a round brush you can use with the hairdryer provided in your stateroom) just in case.
One of my favorite things is having someone else do my hair...and you can do that on your cruise! Visit the
Senses Spa and Salon to schedule an appointment for a blow dry, cut, style, and more. It would be a great way to relax before a fancy brunch or dinner if you're planning to visit one of the
adult-exclusive restaurants!I do find the
suggested packing lists to be a helpful starting point when I'm getting ready for a cruise. They're also a great reminder about important items like travel documents and help you decide what to keep in your carry-on bag versus your checked luggage. Don't worry about packing too much, because
self-service laundry is available on board.
Happy packing, Carole! I hope you have a fabulous cruise!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
