Is there a rope drop opening show at each WDW park?

    Hello Lynn!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question! I absolutely love being at the parks very early in the morning. It feels great to be one of the first Guests to enter. I have always have the feeling I have the park all for myself.

Magic Kingdom Park is currently the only theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort to offer an opening ceremony. And it’s not just any ceremony, it is a brand new royal greeting where Mickey and friends welcome Guests every morning and get the fun started. Let the Magic Begin starts about 5 minutes before scheduled park opening. Guests are allowed to enter the park one hour before opening. I think this is a great opportunity to check some of the shops on Main Street U.S.A, and grab a bite to eat and a tasty cup of coffee from Main Street Bakery before finding a great spot in front of Cinderella Castle to enjoy the show. Although the other theme parks do not offer an opening show, you can plan to arrive early at Epcot to Meet Disney Pals at Legacy Plaza West, as they start greeting Guests about 15 minutes prior to park opening.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please come back with more questions.

    Best magical wishes,
