Hi, We want to see rope drop on 9th July...We then we have breakfast at Ohanas booked for 10.20am 2 questions really... what is the best way to get from MK to the breakfast and about how long will it take? Thanks

    Hello, Derek,

The morning of July 9th looks to be a fantastic one for you!  I noticed that there are Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom that morning, so if you are a Disney resort guest you'll be able to spend an extra hour at the park since it opens at 8:00 AM for resort guests.

To get to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for your breakfast at 'Ohana, you can go two different ways.  The quickest and most convenient is to take the resort monorail. It travels around the Magic Kingdom loop, and it is the 3rd stop once you've left the park.  The monorail drops you off on the same level as the restaurant, so it is just steps away upon your arrival at the resort. I'd allow 15-20 minutes of travel time, which will give you plenty of wiggle room just in case.

The second option is to take the boat; it is the one that is shared with Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This boat launch is located closest to the resort monorails, and it will take longer (allow at least 30 - 45 minutes in case you have to wait for a boat), however.  The boat leaves the Magic Kingdom and goes first to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort then to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort before returning to the park.  It is a pleasant ride, so it might be an option to use to return to the Magic Kingdom if you are going back after breakfast.  Also, it drops you off at the boat dock, so you will still need to walk to the Great Ceremonial House and go up to the second floor.

Wishing you a magical morning dining with Lilo and Stitch!  -Kara
