Can you Rope drop international Gateway at EPCOT by getting a Lyft to Disneys Beach Club Resort? (i.e. do you have to be staying at Beach club to get a Lyft there?) I have heard that the Gondolas get very backed up for the rope drop time period.

Welcome to planDisney, Jason! You've asked a great question today about transportation and rope drop so let's get right into it and chat about how to get to EPCOT first thing in the morning.

Jason, it is not possible to take a rideshare to Disney's Beach Club Resort for the purpose of entering EPCOT through the International Gateway. Only guests staying at that Resort Hotel or guests with dining reservations will be admitted in a personal vehicle at the security gate. I definitely understand that you're concerned about waiting for the Disney Skyliner first thing in the morning, but the great news is that it's one of the quickest modes of transportation at Walt Disney World Resort. The gondolas are constantly moving, so guests are continuously being loaded on and off. Even if there's a line at your station, it moves very quickly!

While you can't drive to the different Resort Hotels without a reservation, you are more than welcome to visit using complimentary Disney transportation! As you mentioned, EPCOT is within walking distance of Disney's Beach Club Resort, but you can also walk or take a breezy boat ride to Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's BoardWalk Inn! Disney's Riviera Resort is just one Disney Skyliner stop away, and it's the perfect place to take a midday break and get some lunch at Primo Piatto.

I hope this answers your question, Jason, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
