Hi Andrea!
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you already have the bulk of an incredible plan, so let’s just chat about the finishing details!
Since you want to rope drop Epcot, you’ll want to
make your park reservation for Epcot, even though you plan to book your Lightning Lanes for Hollywood Studios.
You’ll only need a park reservation for the very first park you plan to visit that day. So, once you scan into Epcot on your park day, you’ll be able to hop over to Hollywood Studios without another park reservation (pending park capacity).
When making your
Lightning Lane selections, make sure to consider your itinerary when choosing your Lightning Lane return times! You’ll want your first Lightning Lane return time to match up pretty closely to when you think you’ll be getting over to Hollywood Studios, if possible. That way, you can scan into that Lightning Lane right off the bat, which will allow you to book another Lightning Lane (pending availability).
It’s also good to note that you can book up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes on your park day (again, pending availability). And since you have a
park hopper ticket, those two Single Passes do not need to be in the same park. So, for example, you could try to book a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot in the morning and Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios in the afternoon.
Your Lightning Lane booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open 3 days prior to your park day with that specific ticket type.
Let us know if you have any other questions in these days leading up to your trip! We’ll see you real soon!
