Hi Rosemary,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
How exciting to hear that you’re thinking about staying at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It’s such a beautiful property and only a few short minutes away from
Magic Kingdom Park which is so convenient!
The rooms for the
outer buildings are categorized based on their “view type” so there are Theme Park, Garden and Lagoon views. If you’re wanting a Theme Park view, you’ll need to see if there’s availability for your dates and book into that category.
When I stayed at the Grand Floridian, I stayed in
Sago Cay facing the water which also gave me a slight view of Magic Kingdom. That was just my experience though, I’d suggest booking into one of those Outer Building Theme Park rooms that way no matter your building, you’d hopefully be able to see Magic Kingdom some way!
If you decide to go another route and book a different type of room, you can see Magic Kingdom from many areas around the Resort. My favorite spot is on the patio right outside of
Gasparilla Island Grill! There’s a lot of open space and a great view of
Cinderella Castle. If you have the time, try watching
Enchantment from here, it’s a really unique spot and you’ll be able to hear the music as if you were in the Park!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you continue preparing for your vacation next year. If you have any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
