Welcome to planDisney, Barbara!
There is nothing more exciting than planning a vacation, but planning a trip to
Walt Disney World with extra friends in tow? Magical!
Barbara, first note that any guest may book a
Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Villa--not just those who are Disney Vacation Club Members--and many of these resorts offer 3 Bedroom Grand Villas. On a recent stay, my extended family of 9--8 of whom were over 18--enjoyed a stay in a Grand Villa at
Disney's Old Key West Resort; there was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax after a long day of park-hopping fun. Two bedrooms upstairs each include two beds (one bedroom has queen-sized; the other full) and two full bathrooms. Downstairs, there was a master bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom, plus a lovely kitchen, kitchen dining table, spacious seating in the living area, a second dining table, patio seating, washer and dryer in unit...and so much more. We loved it!
Other options for separate bedrooms include booking three separate rooms, then requesting that two of them are connecting. While the connecting room option is not a guarantee, it might make it easier to check in with each other while planning your day. When I chaperone high school trips to WDW, we always stay at one of the All-Star Resorts; all of these include some rooms that connect with another.
When we are traveling with other adults, I really like having extra living space so that we can relax, chat, play cards, have some snacks, and watch a favorite movie on a rainy afternoon or a night in. In addition to 1, 2, and 3 Bedroom Villas at Deluxe Villa Resorts, some great options for this additional space include Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort where you'll find a separate bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, a living area, and a kitchenette. While these suites sleep 6, booking three of these suites would give you the separate sleeping space you're looking for plus that living area for gathering together whenever you'd like. Even better? A kitchenette for late night snack prep or easy early-morning grab and go breakfast!
Additional Family Suites are at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort--one of my favorite Value Resorts on property. While you may still want three suites so that you have three separate bedrooms, these also offer a little more space to spread out with two full bathrooms, a kitchenette, more spacious seating area, plus a table and chairs for four.
In short, you do have options Barbara, so as you look through all the choices for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional planning questions our way. We love to help!
