Hi there, Amy!
Thanks for bringing your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love helping fellow New Mexico moms plan their trips to the Happiest Place on Earth. I just returned from an incredible stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I can't get enough of the ambiance of this hotel. From the piano player in the lobby to the beautiful trees on property, there is just so much to love. The rooms have been recently refurbished to showcase modern counter tops and fixtures as well as beautiful art and subtle Disney touches. During this refurbishment, though, bunk beds were completely removed from all Guest rooms. I'm sorry if this was something you were looking forward to, but many rooms now offer adorable twin-sized Murphy beds designed with art from the film Bambi. My son thinks these are the cutest, and he loves sleeping on them.
Starting September 10, 2018 White Water Snacks in this hotel will be undergoing refurbishment and will most likely not be operational during your stay. You can grab smaller bites and other delicious menu offerings from Hearthstone Lounge located just off the lobby during this renovation. I also suggest the fabulous Character dining experience for breakfast at
Storytellers Cafe. I love the unique breakfast offerings as well as classics like Mickey waffles and made-to-order omelets.
Make sure you also check out the wonderful
Halloween Time festivities taking place throughout the entire Disneyland Resort during your stay. It's my absolute favorite season with its limited-time frightfully fun attractions and autumn-inspired eats.
Have a spooktacular trip!
