Welcome to planDisney, Jacqueline. We're so glad you're here to ask this question. Oh boy! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is practically here, so let's make sure you're ready to go.
There's nothing more magical than staying in the Disney bubble at a
Disneyland Resort hotel. I love being able to take the Disneyland Monorail directly into Tomorrowland, and bringing snacks and leftovers back to my room to munch on is something I also often do. When it comes to the fridge situation at the resort hotels, it depends on where you're staying and what type of room you'll be in.
At the
Disneyland Hotel, standard rooms and suites in the Fantasy, Frontier and Adventure Towers come equipped with a mini fridge, although I might classify it as more of a beverage cooler, being a bit smaller with no freezer compartment. In the
Discovery Tower (a Disney Vacation Club property), the Duo and Deluxe Studios have a mini fridge with a very small freezer compartment. The 1- and 2-Bedroom Villas and the 3-Bedroom Grand Villa all come with a full sized fridge. Standard rooms at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are equipped with a mini fridge, and all of the rooms at
Pixar Place Hotel have one too.
When it comes to microwaves, whether or not one will be in your room will depend on the type of room that you are in. Microwaves are typically not available in standard rooms; however, each resort hotel does have an area where you can find one in a common area, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to share exactly where they are located. Since I'm not sure exactly what type of room you're booked in, you can also
reach out to a friendly Cast Member ahead of time to ask exactly what you might find in your room to avoid any surprises. You can also use the "Chat with Us" feature in the
Disneyland app.
Did you know that if you arrive at the hotel with any goods that need to be refrigerated, you can ask them to be placed in cold storage at Bell Services? I've used this when checking out of the hotel and I had some precious souvenir snacks that I didn't want to melt while I played in the parks for a bit before venturing home.
Jacqueline, I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your visit. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with. It won't be much longer until you'll be enjoying all those Mickey-shaped snacks and taking in all the magic. Enjoy your time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
