Have all rooms at Coronado Springs been refurbished? I read that if there are any rooms still not refurbished, then guests are not being put in them. Is the main pool with slide open? Are there connecting rooms with 2 queen beds? Are there very many?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristie! Coronado Springs is an amazing Walt Disney World Resort Hotel with gorgeous theming and plenty to see and do.

Since I’m not exactly sure of when you are arriving I will tell you that the Main Pool (the Dig Site) and slide are currently closed for refurbishments. There has not yet been a date set for reopening. As far as the refurbishments go for guest hotel rooms, guests will not be placed in a building that is undergoing construction, but similar to Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort upgrades, guests may be placed in an older or newer room. Refurbished rooms will be filled first.

Yes! There are connecting rooms at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. You can always request this on your reservation, but please know that they are never guaranteed. Some rooms offer a queen bed and some offer a king. There are even rooms that offer both! Please have your confirmation number handy and call a Cast Member at (407) 939-1936 and have them make a note for you. If I can help you find some Resort fun like a campfire, crafts or even Resort hopping to enjoy other activities, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
