I would like to see if 2 rooms that are booked can be adjoining or nearby. I also need to check if there is a refrigerator in the room. One is needed for medical prescriptions. Are there any rooms with walk-in showers.

    Howdy Elizabeth!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thank you for stopping by with all of these outstanding questions!
I know you are excited and looking forward to visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth” at the beginning of the year!  There is always lots to see and do in January, and in 2022, there will be more to see and do than ever before!

I am super happy to see that you are “Staying in the Magic” at one of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels!  There is nothing better than visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and calling one of their resort hotels your “Home away from home” during your vacation.  Depending on which Disney Resort Collection Hotel will be your home for your vacation, they all offer different amenities.  If you have already reserved your Disney Resort Collection Hotel room, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort and requesting adjoining rooms, a room with a mini-fridge, and a walk-in shower.  The Cast Member in guest services will be able to add this information to your reservation notes and will do their best to make your “Dreams Come True!”  Typically there is never a problem make these arrangements.  If you have not booked your rooms at this time, then once you choose your Disney Resort Collection Hotel and pick your dates, you will see a box for “Accessible Room.”  Once you select this option, you will choose a room with a walk-in shower and mini-fridge!  Then to request adjoining rooms, you will need to log into your My Disney Experience and click on the option to “Add More Plans.”  Under this section, you will see the option to add “Notes.”  This is where you will place your request for adjoining rooms.  I hope this information helps you as you plan your unforgettable vacation for January!

Since the Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors in October of 1971, this year will mark 50 years of “Making Dreams Come True!”  You will be arriving just a couple of months into this 18-month EPIC event!  With all the festivities that Mickey and his pals are planning for this grand celebration, to stay informed of all the announcements as they are released, go to “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and “Sign Up!”
