When are rooms assigned, Am better off arriving early?

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations! I believe that you are wondering when rooms are assigned so that you can make some requests about where your room will be located. Let me share with you what I do to ensure that my requests are noted for my Walt Disney World stays.

First, I take advantage of Disney's Online Check-In. Using this service, you will be able to check in online 60 days prior to your arrival at Walt Disney World. When you do so, you will provide a window of time that you expect to arrive. Please do note that this does not guarantee that your room will be ready at this time if it is before check-in time. Also when you use Online Check-In, you will be able to indicate room requests.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to ask that your requests be noted on your reservation. If you are not a Disney Vacation Club member, you can call your travel agent, or call Disney at 407-939-5277 to have your requests noted.

Also, if, when you arrive, you discover that your room is not where you would like it to be, you can always ask a cast member if it is possible to change. I have had this experience and have asked check-in cast members if there are other rooms available. Sometimes there are and sometimes there are not, and sometimes if you are willing to wait a little while, a room more to your preference will become available.

Please do note that while Disney will do their best to honor all requests, they are not guaranteed.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Thomas! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
