Has the room tax already been paid on my account?

    Hi, Sherry! Welcome to planDisney!

Bedknobs and broomsticks! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation starts this weekend! I bet you can hardly wait to arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and open the door to your magical adventure!

If you’ve purchased a vacation package that includes your Resort hotel stay and theme park tickets, your total balance including tax is due 30 days before your arrival date. In that case, yes, your taxes should have already been accounted for. However, if you booked a room-only reservation, your balance isn’t due until check-in. You can keep track of your room charges during your vacation in the My Disney Experience app on your phone by tapping on “My Resort” on the app home page and then select “View Charges” to see your running total. It’s only available after you’ve checked in, but it’s a really helpful tool for watching your vacation budget.

Sherry, you can get details about your specific reservation by calling Guest Relations and speaking directly to Cast Member. They’ll be happy to check your account for you and let you know exactly what’s been charged at this point.

I hope this helps you get all those last-minute plans all set so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. Thank you so much for stopping by, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
