When a room says it sleeps 4 adults, does that mean 4 people under the age of 10? Or does it mean only 4 people. We have 5 people going, but 3 are adults (10 and over) and 2 are under 10.

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Chase!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! You are in for the ADVENTURE of a lifetime, and we know you are so excited to experience all the MAGIC, fun, and Mickey Snacks as you possibly can. So, let's start that countdown, and we can't wait to "See You Real Soon!"

I have to start by saying that visiting Disney World with children/tweens is pure AWESOMENESS—it’s like seeing the parks through a whole new lens of wonder! Every moment becomes more special when you experience it alongside their wide-eyed excitement. From meeting beloved characters to riding their favorite attractions, the joy is contagious.  Disney World isn’t just a vacation with kids—it’s a storybook tale come to life!

This is a great question! When a Disney resort room says it sleeps four adults, that means the maximum occupancy is four people total. (NOTE: The only stipulation to this would be if you have someone under the age of three in your group.) So even though two in your group are under 10, the room would be over capacity if you have five total guests. Just so you know, Mickey considers guests age 10 and up as adults for room and ticketing purposes. But don’t worry—there are plenty of great options for parties of five! Many resorts offer rooms that sleep five, like Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside, or family suites that accommodate six, like Art of Animation or All-Star Music Resort

As you continue to plan, make sure you check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible surprises planned, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
