Hi there, Laura - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for swinging by with a question about where to stay during your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation early next year. First, let me just say that January is an excellent time to visit - one of my absolute favorites! The weather, in my opinion, is perfect, and the vibe is just a bit more easy-going. Plus, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts typically takes place around the time you're visiting (though dates have not yet been announced)!
Each room is a separate reservation at
Walt Disney World Resort hotels, so you'll simply need to make two reservations. If you are interested in requesting connecting rooms, if you are making reservations at a Resort that offers them, you may want to
make your reservations over the phone by speaking to a Reservations Cast Member. The online reservation system is updated from time to time, and you may have the option to make requests, including whether your room is connected or adjoining. If you are able to make the request online on each reservation, I would still suggest
calling in to make sure the two are linked together with notes in each reservation. Please note that these are requests and while every effort is made to honor them, there is no guarantee.
It's also worth mentioning that you may want to consider
alternative room types instead of two separate standard rooms. There are many room types that sleep a large number of Guests, including, for example, the 1- and 2-Bedroom Villas and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas at many
Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts. There are also Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation and
All-Star Music Resorts, Treehouse Villas at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and more! I suggest doing some research to see what unique options might fit your crew and budget - you can always
swing by with questions for us if you're having trouble deciding!
