Welcome to the Moms Panel, Ryan!
I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question about a future booking. I completely understand the eagerness to start planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. For my family, once we took home some of that pixie-dust the first time, it was only a matter of time before we felt the overwhelming need to return to the magic, again and again!
You can reserve accommodations at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel up to 499 days in advance of your intended check-out date. In other words, all your vacation days must be included within the 499 days. That said, you cannot make an on-line reservation for a
Disney Resort hotel package until the actual pricing for 2020 is announced. Historically, rates have been released mid-summer. You may expect the 2020 package prices to come out around mid-June of 2019.
I recommend calling Disney at 407-WDW-DISNEY (407-939-7639) to make a Room-Only reservation. So, for example, as of today, you can make a reservation for a room to stay through March 3, 2020. They will charge you for a single night based on the current rate, and then automatically adjust your reservation once the actual 2020 pricing is released. After the 2020 package pricing is announced, you may convert your Room-Only reservation into a Disney Resort hotel package reservation. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts. If a better deal comes along, you may change your package reservation, based on availability, to the offer that best fits your budget.
I hope this information was helpful, Ryan. Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
