I love Disney cruises with large groups and plan them for my own large family pretty often. In fact, one of our yearly Reunion traditions is that we all take a Disney cruise together, and it’s become our favorite way to make family memories! I would love to share the different stateroom options that are available for your group to help with your cruise planning.
The great thing about Disney Cruise Line staterooms is that there are a few different options for stateroom choices that fit all different-sized groups. Disney Cruise Line also does an excellent job maximizing space inside the stateroom with some pretty ingenious design concepts, such as split bathroom designs,
connecting staterooms, pull-out beds, and so much more!
Since you’re a group of 8 guests, you have two different options when it comes to
staterooms in
June 2027:
- You could book two connecting staterooms that are next to each other. The stateroom category could be in any of the categories on board, such as Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, or Concierge. The main point to note is that when you’re choosing the stateroom category, you can’t have more than 5 people in one single stateroom. You will need to add two staterooms when asked to input your sailing party, and toggle open the “Connecting Staterooms” button when choosing your staterooms. The available connecting staterooms will then be pulled up. This is the process for choosing and reserving your stateroom on the Disney Cruise Line website. You could also choose your staterooms and make the reservation with Disney Cruise Line over the phone.
- The other option is to choose a Concierge Tower Suite if you would like your entire sailing party to be in one large stateroom together. Since online reservations can only be made for 5 guests, you would need to contact Disney Cruise Line to make the reservation. This option definitely allows for a greater amount of space, which is great for large groups, and these are truly the most luxurious accommodations on board, with plenty of incredible Concierge benefits!
Both options are great, and I’ve done both with groups I’ve sailed with. Ultimately, I find the final decision rests on the cruising vibes you’re after: do you want one large suite where your entire party can constantly hang out in a centralized living area, or do you want separate staterooms for shorter moments of togetherness on a verandah, for example, because you plan to spend more time together outside the stateroom?
