Hey there, hi there, ho there, Courtney!
From one Courtney to another, welcome, and thanks for bringing your question to us here at
planDisney! It sounds like you and your roommate are eager to plan a magical visit to the
Disneyland Resort soon.
As you mentioned, only California residents can enter the theme parks right now. As a current Californian, you are welcome to
purchase tickets and make a theme park reservation to visit the parks. Be sure that your contact information, especially your home address, is up-to-date in your Disney account by logging into
Disneyland.com or the
Disneyland mobile app. When you
make your reservation online, you’ll also be asked to agree to a list of Terms & Conditions, which includes confirming that you and everyone in your party are in-state residents.
Cast Members at the theme park entrances may require you to present a form of valid identification to show proof of California residency, so if you or your roommate don’t have an updated photo ID at the time of your visit to the resort, I suggest that you bring along your temporary paper copy from the DMV or a current utility bill that shows your home address and matches the name on your identification.
I hope this helps, Courtney. Please feel free to ask us any other questions you may have as your pixie-dusted planning continues!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
