Which room location is better, preferred or water view?

It depends on your priorities.  Preferred rooms often offer close proximity to the resort's pool, and food court/restaurants.  Water view rooms, on the other hand, offer just what they promise: a view of some body of water, whether it be a pool or lake.  If you intend to eat most of your meals in the resort's food court, or you plan to buy a refillable mug and make multiple trips to the soda machine during your stay, a preferred room might make sense for you.  Basically, preferred rooms are relative to your vacation preferences.  In some cases, they might not offer much of an advantage at all--certainly not one worth paying for.  It all depends on what you're looking for out of your trip!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
