My room is full with my husband and two kids. Grandma was going to stay home and watch the baby. Now she might come and get a room with her and the baby. My question is can I switch out the kids at night so grandma has my older child in her room?

    Hi there, Heather!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your WONDERful Disney Cruise Line vacation is coming up so soon!  I am so very excited for your family's adventure at sea!

With all the fun that awaits you, I can certainly understand why Grandma wants to join in!  A Disney Cruise Line vacation is fun for ALL ages and being a mom who has cruised with babies, it is definitely doable and A LOT of fun!  We have some of the best memories from cruises when our boys were little – and while they may not remember it, we certainly do!  In fact, one of our favorite servers still remembers having to bring my husband and I our dinners each night in our stateroom because our little ones could NOT make it through a dinner service!  We recently saw her (5 years later) onboard and we all had a laugh about that!  So, bring Grandma along and let her take part in the fun – plus its always nice to have an extra set of hands when traveling with kids!  But, also take advantage of the onboard Youth Clubs and nursery so everyone can enjoy the vacation!

As far as sleeping arrangements go…let’s just say that Captain Mickey doesn’t do bed checks each night so, if switching sleeping arrangements around makes things easier, there shouldn’t be an issue.  I would suggest making sure your stateroom host or hostess is aware so that they can properly prepare the beds and make sure everyone has what they need – where they need it!  Disney Cruise Line makes traveling with the littlest of travelers so convenient by offering pack and plays and diaper pails in your stateroom.

Wishing your family a magical adventure at sea making ALL the memories!

    Happy Sailing!
