Decorating your
stateroom door is not only a great way to show off your Disney style, it also makes your home at sea easy to discern from all the rest. While you didn’t mention which ship you’ll be sailing on, here’s what I can share: most Disney Cruise Line stateroom doors are magnetic, with one small exception. On the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy, the Concierge-level stateroom doors are made of wood, meaning magnetic decorations won’t stick to them.
If you’re sailing on the other ships, you’re in luck because those stateroom doors are fully magnetic! You’ll be able to bring all your magnets and make your door as magical as you like. Sometimes I make my own at home, but otherwise I look for when local drugstores or online photo printing sites have sales on magnets to personalize a bunch for our upcoming sailing. I typically make at least one per person, as well as a family magnet with our name on it, complete with that trip’s ship name and itinerary.
