What are the room amenities to the Disney Caribbean resort? Do they have a mini refrigerator? Is a microwave an option? Just trying to make plans for our diet restrictions. What is the best grocery delivery service?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sumer!

I see you are counting down the weeks until your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort – hurray! I have a stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort planned, and cannot wait to be walking amidst those pastel buildings, enjoying the shady palm trees, calypso music, and a frozen cocktail. I feel relaxed just thinking about it!

In your room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, you will find a small, dorm-sized refrigerator. For a full list of room amenities, you can go to the “Room Rates” tab on any Walt Disney World Resort hotel’s web page, select the room type and click the drop down for “View Amenities.” While you’ll have a mini-fridge, you won’t have a microwave in your room. However, if you walk over to Centertown Market, the resort’s food court, you’ll find microwaves there for Guest use. You’re welcome to warm up food and enjoy it in the food court’s lovely island setting.

As for groceries, I recommend checking to see who has the items you’re looking for at the best price. I’ve had good experiences with Garden Grocer, and many of my friends recommend Amazon Prime Now. Desiree recently shared some great information about ordering groceries to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room, including how to address your package and information about delivery fees, in this answer, which I hope you find helpful. I like to have yogurt, granola bars, applesauce squeezers, and cereal on hand for snacks and easy breakfasts.

Since you mention your dietary restrictions, I want to be sure you’ve seen the Special Diets web page. It’s full of really helpful information about how Disney’s chefs can accommodate a variety of food allergies and other dietary needs, and includes the contact information for the Special Diets team if you have any questions. I have met some of Disney’s dieticians, and I was so touched to hear how important it is to them that families are able to find food they and their children can eat so they can focus on what really matters: magical together time!

Sumer, enjoy your holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days to your jolly holiday – they share lots of great news about holiday experiences, special treats, and other planning tips so you can fit in all the festive fun! Enjoy!

Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
    Robyn
