(Rome on Your Own-CV01) is right up my alley because I would love to explore the beautiful city of Rome, also! As a Type-A Planner, I understand your desire to plan out the day ahead of time and make any necessary reservations or ticket purchases.
I contacted Disney Cruise Line, who informed me that per the Port Adventure guidelines, the intended pickup and drop-off location in Rome is usually St. Peters Square. However, as also mentioned in the guidelines, whether or not it remains the official pickup and drop off location is dependent on the crowd congestion and availability of this location. Therefore, the official pickup and drop-off location will be shared with you once on board, along with further information about the Port Adventure. In case the drop-off location isn't St. Peters Square anymore, the new drop-off and pickup location will add a short walk to the tour, about 0.6 miles.
If you’d still like to pre-plan your day once you get on board, I suggest heading over to the
Port Adventures Desk on the day you embark on your cruise. They will have the most up-to-date information on the Port Adventure, as they work very closely with the Port Adventure vendors on shore.
