Can a rollout bed be added to accommodate 6 people in a 5 adult hotel room?

Hi there, Tracy! Welcome to planDisney!

Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is a big part of the fun of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My son loves to take a dip in one of the amazing pools, my husband likes to take advantage of complimentary Disney transportation and let someone else do the driving for a few days, while I just love to soak in all the magic! To me, there's no better place in the world to call "home."

While there may be rollaway beds available at some Resort hotels, Disney won't allow you to increase the maximum capacity of your room. If the room you've booked is designed to sleep five, you wouldn't be able to add a sixth. In that case, your best option is probably to book a second room to split between your party. You may be able to request connecting rooms with a common door, so it's more like you're all together. And hey, that way, you even get two bathrooms! Sweet!

Another option for a room that sleeps more than five would be to change your reservation and book a family suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or a Deluxe Villa. But since your vacation is very soon, my advice is to call Guest Relations at the number listed for Resort Hotel Reservations. A Cast Member can help you find a Resort hotel room solution that will be the best fit for your family.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
