Are roll away beds available at the animal kingdom villas? We are trying to accommodate an animal lover who wants to stay here, but also have teenage siblings who don’t want to share beds.

    Hi Cassidy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question about my absolute favourite Walt Disney World Resort hotels: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! It’s obviously a wonderful place for animal lovers, but I think that everyone in your family will enjoy their stay because the Resort truly is unique, from its decor, to its dining options and even its recreational activities.

From what I understand, if you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, rollaway beds would be an option in most rooms, availability permitting, for a small fee. If, however, you’re looking to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, rollaway beds aren’t available there, but inflatable mattresses might be an option for you, once again, availability permitting. In either case, however, you cannot use these extra bedding options to increase the room’s maximum occupancy.

Another option for you, if your teenagers don’t want to share a bed, would be to look into whether a One Bedroom Villa would be right for your family. Those are actually some of my favourite rooms in a Deluxe Villa resort, because not only do they give you access to a washer and drier and a full kitchen, but also two full bathrooms. Plus, your teenagers wouldn’t need to share a bed in that case, either, as there is a full sofa bed and a separate sleeper chair (which stretches out into a full size bed) available for them to use in the living room section. With teenagers, having more space to spread out sounds like a great way to make your stay more comfortable for everyone… including their parents!

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect Disney Parks vacation for your family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
