Hi Kacey,
I'm a thrill ride enthusiast myself. I love Expedition: Everest, Rock 'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. That being said, the
Mission: Space "Orange" Team is too much for me. Everything about the Orange and Green experiences are the same
except for one very big thing: G-forces. As described by Disney, "The Orange Team experience uses a centrifuge that spins and tilts to simulate speed and G-forces during launch and re-entry. The Green Team experience is a motion simulator ride that does not spin and is less likely to cause motion sickness." Personally, I enjoy the Green Team experience more because I still feel like I'm going to Mars during the ride and I don't feel like I'm going to lose my lunch after it.
The lines are separate so you most likely won't ride at the same time as the rest of your family if you decide to split up. Generally there is a shorter wait for the Green (tamer) Team. Each simulator seats 4 people and single riders will be paired with other groups. If you can't talk them into doing the Green with you, you can always split up and browse the "Planetary Plaza" at the end of the ride while you are waiting for them to finish.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further and have a wonderful vacation,
Kaylene
