Welcome aboard, Sharon!
I hope your Disney Cruise is just ahead on the horizon! Disney Cruise Line has a helpful
packing checklist based on each itinerary if you need some packing inspiration. I always bring a small bottle of travel-sized wrinkle-releaser fabric spray. It’s a great on-the-go solution–a few spritzes, and you smooth the wrinkles away.
For those stubborn wrinkles, irons are available for Guests to use in the
self-serve laundry facilities located on various decks, depending upon your ship. Unfortunately,
travel irons and steamers are prohibited in staterooms because they pose a safety hazard.
The laundry facilities are open 24 hours a day for your convenience. I usually take a few items down when we are taking a midday break. The cabins have plenty of wooden hangers to keep everything you iron wrinkle-free. The Disney Wish is the only ship that provides bathrobes. You’ll find them hanging in the closet.
You can access the deck plans for your ship on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board for the exact location of each laundry room. The Disney Wish has one dedicated laundry room on Deck 8, midship. You’ll find laundry rooms on Decks 2, 6, and 7 on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic. If your vacation takes you aboard the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, their facilities are on Decks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Another option is to leave the ironing to the professionals. You can take advantage of full-service laundry, dry-cleaning services, and pressing from the comfort of your stateroom. You’ll find a laundry bag and price guide in the closet. Just leave your wrinkled items in the bag, and your Stateroom Host will return your items the following day hung up and pressed.
I hope this information helps as you finalize your packing list and that your vacation is wrinkle-free!
SEAS the adventure!
